The science of acupuncture is based on the theory of Qi and the metaphysical energy channels that run throughout the body supplying cells, functions and organs with vital force. The depletion or over stimulation of these channels is seen as the fertile cause for disease or disability. Imagine the organs of the body as factories that manufacture and supply essential commodities for society. Continually apply too much energy to the power grid and at best the electrical equipment within the factory will start to fail, the worst scenario being complete power failure. Apply too little energy to its power grid
and the factory will be unable to meet its own energy needs or commitments to supply essential commodities. Mental attitudes and emotional reactions are energy producing or energy draining.
Depression for example, is obviously energy draining whereas love is energy producing.
A multitude of mental attitudes and emotional reactions affect the Qi at different acupuncture points and meridians. The topical application of flower essences has numerous benefits to problems of Qi, providing fast effective relief for acute physical and mental/emotional ailments. It is particularly advantageous when used in medical environments such as hospitals that often prohibit the ingestion of natural remedies. It has proven to be invaluable therapy for body workers, acupuncturists, naturopaths and massage therapists.
The cosmology and qualities of Vital Force are outlined in both a macro (universal) and micro (individual human) context before each of the 14 major Meridians of the human structure are studied individually and in depth from a psychological perspective. Diagnosis consists of both observation/assessment of mind/body symptoms plus advanced Body Scanning and Therapist Attunement Techniques. The practical aspect of work with Meridians includes knowledge of the pathway of the Meridians and how to find it when utilising them for diagnosis.
